The Centre of Excellence for Software Transfer (CEST) is an important international base for knowledge transfer and a platform for bilateral communication between China and Singapore. On 20th Oct., CEST have successfully conducted the "2016 The Second Session of SSGKC CEST Lecture Series — Experience Sharing Meeting of Sponge City Construction and Singapore's ABC Waters Programme" which held at the Luogang Conference Centre.

On 20th Oct., the "Second Session of the 2016 SSGKC Software Transfer Lecture Series — Experience Sharing Meeting of Sponge City Construction and Singapore's ABC Waters Programme" organised by CEST was held at the Luogang Conference Centre.

As an integral part of the year's "inbound training" series, the lecture attracted nearly 200 people including those from 15 relevant departments (including the SSGKC Development and Construction Office and the GDD bureaus of land planning, construction, investment promotion, economic development, and development and reform), government officials of the Huangpu District, and representatives from developers, design institutes and construction companies involved in the SSGKC-related projects. Li Xuejun, Deputy Director of the Personnel Bureau of the Guangzhou Development District Working Committee of the Communist Party of China, Huang Guoxiang and Huang Huijun, President and Vice-President of SSGKC also attended the lecture.

Centring on sponge city construction, Mr. Li Yusu from Singapore's Public Utilities Board shared Singapore's advanced experience in water resource management with focus on introduction to the Active, Beautiful, Clean Waters Programme, as well as its implementation from the perspective of government governance. Also, Ms. Li Chunmei from CPG Consultants under CPG Corporation introduced a project-level sponge city application in Singapore and the challenges she met while promoting the "sponge city" in China. The lecture was well received among the audience who benefit a lot from the lecture.
